Damn Geocities

Yesterday is a bad day for me, and it's a shocking day.

I had created a website for my dearest Jiun as a Valentine's present. The website went on line on that day and it look great and fantastic. My love is so proud of it and is so happy that I've never seen before. The website is still running smoothly yesterday morning.

And then something terrible happen. When I was uploading files to the website, I saw some strange signal. Now, all my website data has gone and the site is inaccessible. I was getting worry and trying to solve it. I even send a feedback to the Yahoo! Geocities Customer Service.

In the late evening, I receive an email that is from Yahoo! Geocities. It written:

Your web site was identified as containing logic redirecting viewers to anothersite. The GeoCities Terms of Service states that you cannot use your GeoCitieshome page (or directory) as storage for remote loading or as a door or"signpost" to another home page, whether inside or beyond Yahoo! GeoCities. Formore information, please see the Terms of Service at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/tos/tos.php.

OK, can you interprete the text above? Now, I am confuse and still, don't clearly understand what is wrong with my website. They don't even provide a detail explanation of what I have violate, and where, when, what, and they don't even warn. Luckily I have a whole backup in my laptop.

I have no comment of what Yahoo! Geocities did to me, but I think this is cruel action.

Now I host the website by myself.

So guy, before using Yahoo! Geocities, please have your full backup.
